About Us

Goodrowe | Hobby was formed in late 2011 by co-founders David Goodrowe and Tim Hobby.  They have brought their collaborative experience and talent together as the creators and innovators of a new concept and occupation, Aesthetic Identity Design™.  As Aesthetic Identity Designers, they work with businesses and individuals to find and create their true core identity and how it gets expressed externally and aesthetically in all that they do.  Goodrowe | Hobby focuses on everything businesses/individuals want to convey and everything people see to create one cohesive and consistent message that is a true reflection of their identity.  What people see is what creates the perception of who they are and being true to that identity is the key to sustainable success.  Between the two talented and creative individuals they encompass over 40 years of fashion, interior design, product design and development, branding, and merchandising experience both owning and operating very successful businesses in the areas of high-end designer fashion, retail, branding, and interior design. David and Tim are also currently developing their own brand and product lines under the Goodrowe | Hobby label to offer a full range of services and products to support their Aesthetic Identity Design concept.

With over 20 years of experience in fashion retail and fashion design David Goodrowe first held the role of Northeast and International Regional Director for bebe stores and then co-founded the luxury women's designer clothing company, David Rodriguez.  David was instrumental in the company's success, selling to stores such as Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, Hirshleifers, and Stanley Korshak.   David's experience naturally lead him to also becoming a fashion stylist, dressing numerous celebrities including Jodie Foster, Heidi Klum, Eva Longoria, and Oprah Winfrey.  David and his company have been featured in many publications such as Allure, Atlanta Journal Constitution, Elle, Essence, Atlantan, Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles, Entertainment Weekly, Harper’s Bazaar, InStyle, Marie Claire, Rolling Stone, Southern Seasons, NY Times, LA Times, Washington Post, and Women’s Wear Daily.

David's passion for education lead him to Atlanta where he became the Associate Dean of the School of Fashion and School of Building Arts at Savannah College of Art and Design's new Atlanta campus.  While holding this position at SCAD the fashion program was rated the readers' choice number one fashion program in the nation by Huffington Post while the Interior Design program received top honors in the field by securing the number one ranking in both the undergraduate and graduate programs by Design Intelligence.  This became the first time in history both top honors went to a single school.

With over 20 years experience in the interior design industry, Tim has been featured in numerous national and local magazines for his design projects and showroom merchandising.  House Beautiful named Tim as one of the top 15 rising design stars in the United States and Elle Decor wrote that he was a breath of fresh air for the South.  The Atlanta Journal and Constitution credited Tim for bringing the art of window dressing to Peachtree Street for his avant guard windows combining modern furniture and beautifully clad mannequins in designer clothes against dramatic backdrops.

Tim's design projects span most of North America and include homes and businesses of celebrities, athletes, CEO's, and professionals.For 10 years, Tim imported European, high-end furnishings from Italy, France and the Netherlands for his showroom, Space, in Midtown Atlanta. An avid supporter of local charities, Tim has hosted and produced numerous events and fundraisers in Atlanta from fashion and trunk shows, to New Year's eve parties.

With a passion for both home furnishings and fashion and the belief that both industries are constantly influenced by the other, Tim is currently working on a collection of lifestyle products which includes fashion accessories and home decor under the Goodrowe | Hobby label.
